Founded in 2013 by Dr. Janki Mithaiwala, Antahswar was established with a singular noble vision: to instill musical awareness across society and guide learners of all generations to experience the elevating power of Indian Classical Music.

Dr. Janki Mithaiwala

Founder, Director, Guru & Researcher

Dr. Janki is a distinguished disciple of the legendary Padma Vibhushan Dr. Prabha Atre of the revered Kirana Gharana. Rooted in traditional guru-shishya parampara while embracing rigorous academic research, she earned her Ph.D. on ‘Fusion of Indian Classical and Jazz Music’ (subsequently published as the book ‘Fusion’).

A double Gold Medalist in Bachelor’s and Master’s in Music (Vocal) from the prestigious M. S. University of Baroda, Dr. Janki holds both Sangeet Alankar (Gandharva Mahavidyalaya) and Sangeet Visharad (Bruhad Gujarat Sangeet Samiti). She taught Indian classical vocal music for four years at the Faculty of Performing Arts, M. S. University of Baroda.

Awarded the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.
